If so, can you tell me what it was like and what the people were like? I just want to hear other people's opinions. Thank you!

  1. I suppose we are fairly nice people.  I think i'm nice anyway, lol.  You'll have a good 3 days no doubt about that.  Have fun and enjoy x

  2. I like visiting Dublin....not sure if i would like living there with the traffic etc. but i think sice you'll only be there for three days that you got the right idea!!

The people there like Irish people are nearly always very friendly and have plenty of time for you

    Enjoy!!!

  3. I am from the North of Ireland & I can assure you Dublin is a friendly , beautiful & truly fasinating City.Pop up to Belfast for a peep and experience even better hospitality,& thats saying something.

  4. It's really nice and touristy, but very expensive.

Croke Park,Trinity College and Kilmanen Jail are all excellent places to see there.

I could be ages telling you about it so these sites might help:

    http://www.visitdublin.com/ and http://www.visitdublin.com/accommodation...

    http://www.discoverireland.ie/ <----That's really good! = )

  5. the irish are so friendlyand fun..visit dublin is lovely..beautiful just a bit cold weather

  6. I used to work in Dublin. It's great. I travel worldwide and I'd rate the restaurants in Temple Bar as some of the best I've eaten in. The people are great. I was in Dublin at the time of 9-11. The US had grounded all their flights and you couldn't get a hotel there for love nor money. So the ordinary Irish people just opened their doors and put people up, gave them a bed. That wouldn't happen anywhere else in the world. That's how hospitable the Irish are. Go on the open top bus, the sites are nothing but the bus drivers commentary on Dublin City is worth it. Just go! Eat and drink, to h**l with the cost have a d**n good time!

  7. Yes ,been on a stag weekend.

Was a good night out but no different from any other town centre except that the queues for the taxis was impossibly long and it was freezing. We were forced to take a horse and carriage at great expense. Its quite possible that there is some council level corruption involved in limiting the number of cabs available.

As for a 3 day holiday,it has nothing to offer whatsoever.try York.

  8. Its a fabulous city, the people are so friendly. The main city centre is not huge so its easy to get about on foot but the public transport system is easy to use if you want to get around the greater Dublin area.

Must visit the Guinness factory and Phoenix Park.

    Enjoy, you'll love it

  9. Simply put Dublin is great if your drunk. If your not its a fairly mundane drab little place with limited sights and attractions. (Guinness factory - says it all) I think it's one of those places worth going to but dont forget your hip flask!

  10. I live in Dublin and i honestly think you will have a great time. We have lots of tourists here and i feel that most people are very friendly and great craic. It can be expensive thought so be warned. Hope you do come here and enjoy it. We are known for our welcomes.
