I've been banned for points. Can I obtain another licence in France and drive there whilst banned in GB?

  1. yes you can you are only banned in the UK. my best friend has been and still is banned in the UK however he drives in Europe. you are not banned in the EU and you can apply to the dvla for your licence back to drive in any other country

    enjoy you only committed offences in the UK not-in any other country


  2. You probably can if the forms don't ask you to state if you've recently had your licence suspended / banned. But your insurance on the continent will also be much higher due to that.

  3. Just apply for the licence in France, see what they are saying.

    But do not use that licence in GB.
