I've been fighting with long distance companies for months now because of calls that were added to my phone bill back in Febuary. I don't have long distance, because I don't use it often enough to justify the cost: a simple calling card is the best route for me. I was not aware that simply not having long distance is not enough to keep calls from showing up on your bill, according to these companies I must also pay to have a block on my phone, otherwise I must pay these charges that amount to over $250.00. I'm at my wits end but not ready to give up fighting yet. Is there anything that I can do?

  1. Check with the Public Service Commission

  2. The best way to get rid of them is track that person down or tell th truth to the phone company

  3. Easiest thing to do is call your phone company and talk to them about it. They will take it off your account, if that doesn't work, call your credit card company or whatever you use to pay your bills with.
