  1. It depends on your bone growth and how strong you are.

  2. it mostly depends on how strong your bones are but also it depends on your teacher

  3. It isn't about how long, its about the bone development and growth.

  4. YEARS.

  5. i really depends on the dancer...I'm starting pointe in one month and i've been dancing for 3 years.... But some people say you need atleast 4 years of solid ballet training...so it depends....

  6. i think its more about you're strength in dancing, how strong your ankles are, your bones and growth. i danced for about...3 or 4 years (serious training, not toddler dance) before i got to go on pointe, and i still have to work at it. so it kinda depends on where you're at in your dancing.

(oh and without strong ankles, going on pointe is pointless. trust me. and if you have over arched feet, you are going to have a harder time and work differently than others.)

  7. like most people have said already you will probably have to ask you dance instructor. Only they can really tell when you're are ready enough to go on pointe. You have to be strong enough or you might seriously injure yourself.  So ask your teacher and find out when she thinks you should be able to start.

  8. It depends on your teachers preference. My teacher put me on pointe after I had danced for 5 years. You really need to build up your ankle strength.

  9. You should talk to your teacher about that. Tell her that you are interested in going en pointe, and ask her how long would it take you to go up en pointe. But remember you need to have good technique in ballet slippers.your ankles need to be strong, and i dont know how old you are but your bones have to pretty much have stopped growing, because if they dont it can cause serious damage. It make take a couple year it make take acouple months. Going up en pointe is not something you can rush!! Good luckk!! ♥
