I've been even hungrier. Could it be because I'm running?

I've always been a big eater. But I gained weight this summer, so I decided to start exercising and get back in shape. I think I'm eating just about the same as I did before I started running. But I'm even more hungry. I just ate lunch, I had a can of healthy select soup, cheese sticks, and chicken nuggets. That wasn't that long ago and I'm really hungry again.

Is it because I'm running? Its like I'm trying to lose weight, but I'm still hungry all the time!

  1. Don't listen to Nate! You need to fuel your body. After your body uses up it's glycogen stores it will start eating away at your muscles. Eat within thirty minutes after you run to prevent this. Don't over eat, but eat a healthy three meals a day. Bigger breakfasts and smaller dinners will help, but don't supplement food with water!!!!!!!


  2. your body is just like a car, you cant go unless you have fuel. drink a lot of water, it helps to get rid of hunger.

  3. Yes it's because your running. I've been running track for 3 years and lost weight too, but I went to the doctor and he told me that I need to eat 4 good, whole meals a day because of running. Don't worry about the weight because if u keep running, its not going to come back

  4. Yeah, this happened to me also. I started running like 3 weeks ago to lose 5 lbs, and now im even hungrier. I just think u should try to get more protein in, that helps me control the hunger..Try eating a protein bar and a banana before you run and drink alot of water, ur craving should go down a little.
