I've been having dreams about darkness and the devil/demons. Can anyone help me analyze these dreams?

I've had these dreams that revolve around me alone in a house with a demon spirit that I cannot see. I try and fight it and it comes back. I was so scared that I woke up with my heart racing. It feels so real. I've also had dreams of my dad's house and darkness with two men trying to come inside. I have this feeling that these dreams are interconnected. I can't sleep well at night and I'm having trouble sleeping in this room where my last dream occurred. Could there be a spirit haunting my dreams? or staying with me because I've been so stressed and distraught lately? I can't get over the fear that I have felt in all of these dreams because they are too real.

i dont know what to say, other than maybe seek professional help.  Maybe a physiatrist?  Im not too sure which docs work in that field

Have you prayed before going to bed? Do you have any unconfessed sins or a grudge against someone?

How long have you lived in the house?  If the house was haunted the person would have immediately started tormenting you the minute you got there.  If you have been living there awhile then it probably has nothing to do with the house being haunted.

As far as the dreams go it appears your having inner conflict over something in your waking life.  Maybe it's about being lonely or do you feel someone is invading your space and crossing your boundaries?

If you are having dreams like that, it means that there is an area of your life where these demons have access to you.  Demons can enter your life through worry, fear, anxiety, stress, lust, and any other kind of sin.  The key is that you have to ask God to close the door in your life by which these demons are coming through.  You mentioned stress in your life and that is definitely a avenue for demons.  Also, you will have to over come "fear".  When demons come to people at night they bring the presence of fear with them.  Demons inspire fear in people because the fear allows them the power to stay with you.  So by what you have said, you are following the pattern of what want, to stay in your life.  It will take the power of Jesus Christ and His peace to deal with these demons that are tormenting you.  Take care and God bless you.
