  1. Why? She'd probably be relieved to hear you got yours. Boy, if you went through your whole adolescent with her believing you never got your period she'd send you to the hospital to see what was wrong with you. :-)

No need to hide it. She's a woman too and will understand. Maybe even be a little proud and do something nice for you for moving into that next step of womanhood. Well, my mom never did anything special for me (unless you count calling my Grandmother and telling her the "good news"), but some moms do!

  2. hiding it for what? Maybe she'll buy your tampons if you tell her.

  3. Why would you hide it from your mom?...

  4. Why are you hiding your period from your mother 1st of all? I don't get it...or understand why this somewhat of a question is under this category. Just tell her.

  5. I did that too when I was younger. I know it's awkward, but it'd be better just to tell her.

  6. You should not feel embarrassed or ashamed by your monthly cycle.

By the information you've posted your question tells me you and your mother do not have a great relationship and you do not trust her.

Try opening up to her by telling her that you have started your monthly (or whatever term you use) and that  you would like her advice on what type of sanitary products to use even if you have a brand you like.

This will allow the communication channels to open up between the two of you and allow you to develop an stronger bond.

EDIT:  othniel  You are foolish, you don't know what you are talking about.  Answering with such dribble about premarital s*x and Jesus is asinine.  What the Asker has posted is a typical problem girls face in 2008 and you certainly sound like you DON'T have the experience to give meaningful and qualified advice to young teenage girls about their menstrual cycles.  Don't compound to a problem that does not have a simple answer, it is rude and thoughtless.

  7. Hey there! The reason ur afraid is cause u had s*x with ur partner right? Pray to JESUS, which is talking to Him. Explain to Him everything. He knows already,He knows the future! He just wants u to confess it Him, then He will put it in ur mom's heart to b understandable, and the way that JESUS will show u how much He really loves is by giving u a great hug through ur mother.  <//><

  8. why hide it from her? no reason to be embarrassed bc every woman has their period...she will understand so just tell her

  9. ummm.... tell her?

  10. Been there!

It can be hard to do. But I'll let you in on something...Your mom would probably be so sad to know that you weren't comfortable sharing it with her. Mine was. I know that it's about you and not her, but you are her daughter. It's a big deal for a mom.

You'll feel a WHOLE lot better after you tell her. Trust me.
