i went to the hospital my mother said i was born they have know record of me being born so what do i do?

Well you want to contact the state you where born in and you can get those items. If they where never filed then you can file for them and it would take a while ot get to you. Normally it will take up 2 3 weeks for you to get it in the mail.

How old are you? In some states SS # are given at birth. Others when you enter the work force...( teenager) after you apply for one.

Find the toll free number for Social Security services and explain it to them. If you have a living older sibling, you may have to have them as a witness and proof of when you were born. You can also type your real name and place of birth in Google and find a free search site to find out where you were born.

Contact the Vital Statisitcs Department of the Capital city of the state you were born in. They will want a small fee to process yoru birth certificate-like $3-5 . Find it on the internet.

Then contact the Federal Social Security office in a large town near you, and request a SSN. Again, find it on the internet.

If you have never had a SSN, they might wonder about you, and how you have managed to survive with no money all this time. They won't REPORT you or anything.

How have you paid taxes on your income? Did you? Even pan-handling or gambling  is income.

If you had a job once, chances are you have a SSN and just don't remember the number. In that case, ask for a duplicate. There is a small fee.

While you are at it, get a library card, and register to vote.

What else can you do to stay out of the street?  Are you a veteran? Are you handicapped? If so, look into agencies that can help you.
