  1. I agree.

Why not just say you're vegetarian because vegan is too difficult.

Why lie in the first place?

  2. By not eating cheese or things with eggs. Or just say you dont want to be vegan just a vegetarian.

  3. Living a lie - no matter how you attempt to justify it - is still a lie.  Nothing that you think or can say will change that.

My suggestion - just be HONEST!

Why is it that you are more worried about having a particular title vs. being honest?  Something that you really need to address within your life.  Trust me - I have seen and known people that attempted to do what you have done - and it will blow up in your face in the end.

Be who you are.  If the only reason others accept you is because of a particular title that you want to claim - that really isn't true - then did you really NEED those people in your life to begin with?

If your drinking/eating dairy - then just be honest about it.  Same thing with eggs.

In the end - you will feel better about yourself.  Hiding behind lies is not the way to live - never has been.

  4. Why don't you just say you're a vegetarian. If people give you a hard time about it, then just tell them you eat animal products just so long as the animal is killed or abused in the "harvesting" (can't think of  a better word, sorry!) of the dairy.

Don't pretend to be sething you're not.

  5. Why do you want to fake be a vegan. Seriously, shove that cheeseburger down your throat.

  6. why pretend? by being veggi your already not eating animals. but you can always said the docs told you need to change your diet? a little white lie?!

  7. just tell them the truth. it's the consequence for lying.

  8. let me grill u up a steak

  9. If the idiots in junior high don't catch on that you're not vegan then I don't see how the high schoolers will, but alright.

So here's what you do: you eat vegan in front of them. Yeah, that simple.

Obviously, don't eat anything with cheese or milk or eggs. Also don't have soda other than Dr. Pepper and lemon lime sodas.

When you're packing your lunch, remember that normal bread is not vegan, but pita is. Take flaffles or something.

Also, if you're a chick (or a trannie, idk) tell them you wear Avon make up, as Avon is vegan.

Don't wash your hands with they soap the school provides you, because the chances of it being cruelty-free (not tested on animals) is very unllikely.

Umm, that's about all I can think of.

I would give you some c**p about how insulted I am that you were lying about something that I take very personally, but (1) I would like to have some chance still of getting best answer, and (2) you made your mistake and you'll suffer the consequences soon enough when school starts. And, you know, you could always go back to school and tell people your doctor told you you were unhealthy. Or join a sport, because most coaches actually won't let you on the team if you don't atleast eat animal byproducts. But anyway, goodluck.

  10. There no need to pretend. Either go vegan or tell the truth. If you are lying about being a vegan, there is a good chance that you feel bad or guilty for not being one. Try making a list of why being a vegan is important to you and then decide if you want to become one for real. By lying, you are only hurting yourself.

  11. Just continue doing what you are doing, by keeping up appearances because this is what the celebs do. In public they are a vegan, at home they eat chicken, fish, turkey, beef and enjoy a healthy life from this excellent source of protein. But in public they do the vegan thing. Notice how it is mentioned in their bio in imdb.com, because they want to influence you, and you can see it works!

  12. If being vegan is an important part of your persona, or your image, it's quite simple to actually become one.

  13. The longer you live a lie and pretend you're something you aren't, the greater the fallout will be in the end. If you really want to be vegan, you'd be one. If you don't want to cut out dairy, eggs, etc. and you keep eating them, why pretend to be something you don't even want to be? I have a very hard time understanding your motives here.

If you're out in public and trying to look like you're eating vegan, your only bet is to actually eat vegan food. So it's not really pretending to eat vegan because you really are.

People don't really pay attention to what others eat, but if you're purposely telling people you are vegan and putting on a whole charade about it, they'll be scoping your plate on purpose and watching you shovel eggs and cheese down the hatch like there's no tomorrow.

There's a certain joy that very mean people get out of "catching" vegetarians doing non-vegetarian things, these people are few and far in between but they are out there. That one person will not let you live it down when they "out" you for the lie, so might as well tell everyone you're back to vegetarian, or instead of vegan say vegetarian and don't specify which kind you are.

On top of it all, examine why you're putting yourself through so much judgment and deception. Do you think there is a perceived benefit in declaring yourself as a vegan to others? What do you think the vegan title gives you - do you feel you need to be labeled, unique, or different? Do you feel like it might make people think you are better or more disciplined? Whatever strange reasoning there is behind the lies, you need to face it at once and wonder why you need to lie and deceive. You can be different, loved, appreciated, disciplined, unique, etc. without having to pretend you're something you aren't.

High school is full of judgmental people, there are cliques and groups that live and feed off of insecure people. Don't paint a target on your back, be honest from the beginning and present yourself as you are, because those that aren't are just that - visibly vulnerable and insecure. Lying and pretending puts you at a HUGE disadvantage, your entire high school life will be based on keeping up with layers of lies and cover stories, and on top of it all there's the constant nagging feeling you'll be caught.

  14. First off, you should not have to pretend to be something you are not.  I am not a vegan, nor a vegetarian and I am not going to pretend I am.  I do however respect people's right to live their own lives as they see fit; and as long as its not infringing on the rights of others to live as they choose, ideally they should be free from judgment.  Being a vegan is a lifestyle choice.  You have to decide what is in your heart.  If you are not completely committed to this lifestyle, then it is probably not one you want to pretend to be.  If you are indeed a vegetarian, but eat dairy, eggs, or honey that's not vegan.  I'm not going to pretend that I don't think strict vegan-ism is hard.  Whatever your restrictions are, you have to be honest with yourself.  Ask yourself, who do I want to be?  I think being an honest vegetarian is a lot better than being a fake vegan.  Just because you choose to occasionally eat dairy, etc, doesn't make you a bad person, I just wouldn't represent myself as a vegan.

  15. How about you stop being a little poser and become vegan.

  16. I'm a vegetarian, but I know a boy who is a vegan. No one ever said you were going to be a vegan your whole life, so just say being a vegetarian works better for you. If you want an excuse you can tell people that you don't get a lot of healthy nutrients when you have such a small diet and thats why you switched.

  17. im a vegetarian not vegan you could eat healthier foods like soy foods and stuff or just come clean with truth set it free the truth will let your lie go away you will feel alot better too trust me i made a big lie i told the truth and i felt so good about it it will make the stress all go away.

  18. well why do you need to be a vegan? Can't you just be a vegeterian.  You've pretty much been living a lie, don't you think you'd feel better if you just were who you are.  That means you wouldn't have to lie, and it would be a lot less stressful.

  19. Why are you trying to prove anything?

In my opinion, people who are vegetarians or vegans just for the trend (and by that i mean just to have people think your something special) are obnoxious.

    Who cares?

Its your own decision, and i have respect for people who keep such decisions to themselves.

  20. It's your life! You don't have to answer to anyone except yourself..........You are the only one who counts! Not what other people perceive!

  21. Why fake it???  Just being a vegetarian is great!!!  It is a lot harder to stay healthy if you are vegan.

  22. Liar! Shame on you.

  23. Why would you lie about that?

The only way to get of this situation is to:

    a)Fake it

    b)Actually become vegan

    c)Tell the truth

You are already in a pickle because you chose choice "a" the first time, so I don't recommend it.

You obviously aren't serious about becomeing vegan, so there is no reason to go with choice "b."

Finally, you can just tell the truth. Most people won't care. They'll just laugh and tease (in a friendly way) for about a day or two, and next week they won't care anymore. People tend to believe that others think of them the say way that they veiw themselves, but this is not truth. When it comes to it, most people won't give a flip about your diet because it doesn't affect them in any way, shape, or form.

I would just tell people the truth if I were you. I highly doubt anyone will spread rumors about you (lol not in high school, trust me I just finished my freshman year).

  24. REPENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    EAT A T-BONE STEAK

  25. Just when I thought questions couldn't get any dumber... You go and put the icing on the cake..

  26. why not just stat telling people your going to be a vegetarian instead of a vegan because being vegan was too hard.

  27. If you aren't willing to become a vegan, then continue to be a vegetarian. You don't have to explain yourself to anyone, just practice what you believe is best for you, if in fact you believe that being a vegan or a vegetarian is truly what you are. You should not try to fake and lie about it; you will stress yourself out.
