it's to the Kurumba resort and I'm a little concerned because although it's half board, the drinks aren't included. Has anyone been and can you tell me how much drinks are (both alcoholic and non)? and any other useful comparison items?

  1. it is very hot that time of year and you would be better to stick to water and fruit drinks as alcohol affects you much quicker in the tropics that elsewhere.  Alcoholic drinks are more expensive than in the UK and the brand name soft drinks I(Coca Cola etc.) are expensive too.  When you are there fill up on breakfast (masses of choice) to save on buying lunch, which can also be expensive.  Eat lot of fruit etc. which is cheap.  Hope you like water sports etc. as there is not a lot to do except laze around during the day on the white beaches or stand in the warm sea and let all the tropical fish, which you can see as the water is so clear, nibble your toes, although the night life can be quite good.  Hope you have a happy holiday.  PS take lots of high factor sunscreen - it is very hot there and a couple of good paperbacks to read!

  2. It's expensive as everything and I mean everything has to be imported so make sure you have deep pockets.

Unless you are into water sports or simply laying in the sun you will find the place beautiful but boring as there is not much to do apart from water sports.

  3. Cost my husband usd 5 for a coke when he was there

  4. My tour Op stated you are better going All-inclusive as it saves you money on drinks etc.
