How is that possible when all I ate was a couple of hot dogs and some Ravioli for supper out the can? I drank a lot of water due to the water being hot. Could it be water gain? My scales are accurate so I know that's not it.

  1. You should always weigh yourself in the mornings, and when you are naked.  You almost always weigh more at night due to water retention, eating and other factors.  If you ever go to a doctor for weight loss or something like weight watchers, or even read about diets, they always tell you to weigh your self in the mornings.  And you should only weigh yourself once a week when you are on a diet.  You can get too discouraged weighing yourself every day.

  2. water it is. all that salt that was in your food just added more fluid in your system.

  3. if you really want to know your accurate weight do it first thing in the morning after you uirne and havent ate anything ,weight your self with an empty stomach,if you weight yourself at night is gonna add up whatever you ate....

  4. No, that's not it. You always weigh more at the end of the day from eating all day. and if you're not sweeling it's not water. LOL

  5. It is most likely water weight gain.

  6. a couple of hot dogs with the "buns"???  Buns are white flour product and count as 2 servings of bread each!!

Ravioli, I assume you ate the whole can?? that is two servings of bread also!!

So you had 6 servings of heavy starchy carbos!! Yeah!! I would gain 10 pounds from that too.

You are overeating for dinner and still saying you are on a "DIET" ???

A weight loss plan should be similar foods every meal of the day for as long as needed to lose the weight, then never over eating at all for the rest of your life.

  7. It's simply because you weighed yourself at night - that is the worst time to weigh yourself because you're full of food and water. Weighing yourself first thing in the morning is the most accurate time - your true weight. You can weigh yourself in the morning and weigh that same night and be 10 pounds heavier!

  8. tobey is right

  9. Water has a weight too.  If you did not use the facilities yet then you have retained everything you put into your body.  Still, a seven pound gain over night does sound rather severe.  Have you tried weighing yourself once more?  It is possible your scale may fluctuate a bit. Also try weighing yourself after you use the bathroom.  Good luck.
