  1. Has your period always been perfectly regular while you've been on the pills?  I've been on the pill for about five months and I get my period every four weeks on the Thursday of that week.  It's pretty dead-on.  If yours is like that too and now suddenly it's late, that's cause for concern.  One or two days isn't considered late, but three is.  It doesn't mean you're pregnant, it could be from a change in diet, stress, weight loss...many different reasons although pregnancy is often the most common.

Since your period is already late, you should be able to take a pregnancy test by now and have it come out accurately.  I suggest you make that your first step, and if it's positive then go to the doctor for a blood test to confirm it and figure out what your options are.  If it's negative and your period doesn't come within the next few days, you should still go to the doctor because there could be something wrong.

  2. Not if you take it consistently.  Even taking it at a different time during the day can make it ineffective.  Some people stop getting their period all together when they're on the pill.  Some people just keep getting later and later.  Don't sweat it yet.

  3. If you have faithfully taken the pill as directed and not missed or skipped any, you are probably not pregnant.  Though the pill is not 100% foolproof, it is pretty close if taken as you should.  It can take several months for your periods to settle down and become regular on the pill.  If you think you are pregnant, you really should stop taking the pill, as it can cause problems for the developing fetus.  You need to go see your doctor and have a blood test to be sure.
