To make a master list to use everytime you go on holiday.

I don't leave the house on a trip without duct tape.  Many uses if you are driving and need to fix something temporarily on your car.

Always take an extra pair of clean undies and deodorent.  If you get stuck in the airport between planes - people will appreciate you smelling good.  Nothing worse than a stinky angry passenger waiting in line.
