I've been suffering from back pain for a number of weeks. And my doc give me Brufen 400mg for it. But i'm jus?

t starting my second week of Brufen. The pain is located in my lower back and behinf my chest. I find it impossible to hold a deep breath. I'm just wondering if it should be taking this long?

You need to go back to your doctors and ask for a further examination.

There has to be a reason for the pain, if its muscular then it can take several weeks to subside, if it is skeletal then it probably needs more investigation.

It would depend on what you have been doing prior to the pain starting, which I assume your Doctor asked about anyway.

You can take co-codamol with ibuprofen 400mg it is more effective at killing the pain.

Brufen is just a simple form of Ibuprofen... which is an over-the-counter nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. While it is a good pain reliever, it sounds like you need something stronger.
