I've been thinking about telemarketers?

Should I maybe *67 the telemarketers back and say that I'm selling whatever product they're selling and see what they do? I've really wanted that to happen but I don't know if it's legal or not. I think it would be fun.

  1. Try going here to solve your problem:

    https://www.donotcall.gov/

  2. nice try but the number they call you on does not ring  any where that it will ever be answered unless it is a call back number that they gave you. when you try this make sure you have a lock on your caller id for your phone because you are going to let someone know that this is working number and they will add it to their okay to call list and it will get sold around.

anyway i am much cuter than telemarketers.

  3. I have jazzed telemarketers in a variety of ways including:

-telling them this is a secured line, and how did they get this number?  I get their name, reprimand them, and tell them to expect call, more likely a visit, from some officials that I can't even name.

-I turn the conversation around on them and try to sell them something

-I ask them where they are calling from and then engage them in conversation about the area they are calling from (How do you like it there? How long have you been doping this? Do you like your job?)

-I pretend I am some sort of celebrity, I don't tell them who, and ask them if they are for real or some creepy stalker fan

-then there is the ultimate one, and here is the link (you will love this)

  4. Record a cassett taped message in a very pleasant voice that says, "Please hold, someone at this residence will be right with you....(hold music)......thank you for continuing to hold, someone is hurrying to the phone right now to hear all about your silly-a$$ed products and is anxious to talk with you....please hold for just a monent longer....." and when a telemarketer calls, ask them to hold for just a second and then lay the receiver down in front of this recording and let it keep cycling through until they hang up.  It's a scream!

  5. That would be so hilarious!

Whether it is legal or not is something I don't know :)

  6. Well, they bother me all day long. If I call them back I just hear a stu*p^* message that says, "The number you have reached have been disconnected." Your caller id registers their name and number, but if you call them back chances are that they are not going to answer it.

  7. haha, that would be funny, but i don't think that it's illegal or anything..just an innocent phone call!

although i'm not sure that they would pick up...it's usually a machine that does the calling.
