  1. There is the Tate Gallery and Tate Modern, Natural History Museum, V&A Museum........ or just take a walk along the South Bank where you can take in the sights and pop into galleries etc while on your way.

  2. My toplist (in order of must do-see)

    1.  The tower of London.  Take the beefeater tour.  While you are there pop over to St. Katerines Dock next dor and look at all the pretty ships.

    2.  Natural History Mueum.

    3.  Jack the Ripper Tour or any tour on with London Walks.

    4. Greenwich Observatory, get a picture on the Prime Meridian.

    5.  Any Indian restraurant.  Order Onion Bajees, Popadums and Chutney, a curry (Chicken Tikka Masala is the British favorite dish), Nan Bread and a Mango Lassi.

    6.  Get fish and Chips at Seashells on Lisson Grove.  (Don't eat in the restaurant, eat standing up at the counters)

    7. Watch a game of rugby (cheaper and more exciting than football/soccer).  I suggest the Saracens or Harlequins as they are more central.

    8.  Watch and Irish music session at a pub www.thesession.org for details.

    9.  Watch a play.  Get tickets from TKTS in Leicester square.

    10.  Walk the south Bank from the Tower to the Eye.

    11.  Book 2 more weeks, cause you ain't even started . . .

  3. When I was in London I went to the science museum - it sounds uber geeky but I realy enjoyed it. If you like art you could also go to the portrait gallery or the Tate.

Wishing you a prosperous New Year too.

  5. You could pop into ST. Pancras station on the euston rd. and visit the worlds longest champagne bar

  6. Trafalgar Square is a must.Steeped in culture, history and elaborate architecture.

Oh.If you do go,please ignore the white alabaster blobby monstrosity mounted on the fourth plinth.

I'm afraid its one of Red Kens  loony left moments that has made us a laughing stock worldwide.

No one else thinks its a good idea, perhaps it would be better suited outside some backwater polytechnic.NOT Trafalgar square.

  7. I like the National History museum, also while you're in the area you can check out the Science museum and the Victoria & Albert museum. Another great thing to do is to go for a stoll along South Bank, you can start from the London Eye and walk all the way towards London Bridge. Of course Tower Bridge (and Tower of London) is another thing to do. Enjoy your holiday!

  8. New Years Day Parade?

Starts midday lots of marching bands floats etc

    Good fun & good atmosphere!

  9. There's loads to do. Absolutely masses of stuff, but it depends what you like. Here is a link that may help you choose, or just confuse you even more :)
