  1. Join Cross Country =p

In track run 800m and Pole Vault

Having a runners body is one thing, but you must be able to perform well.

    Good Luck!

  2. i here the same thing all the time and ive learned that a "runners body" means you have great legs with amazing muscular potential. :)

and you should take advantage of it.

i run three miles most days but now im in training for cross country so my schedule is a little different.

i suggest though, to usually run in a new direction. taking the same route all the time gets boring, and if you stop improving on that route you could get discouraged.

my coach always tells me that when doing summer training, the most important thing is that i enjoy myself.  i would say that building endurence is the best way to summer train.

    simply run longer every day.

i use my ipod for that.

i tell myself, "today i will run for 4 songs and tomorrow for 6 songs" and then walk the rest.

ALWAYS have a day of rest every week. i run 6 days a week and every friday i do yoga instead. :)

and if you stop improving never feel like youve failed.

    failure and peaking are different.

peaking just means that was all you could handle that day physically or emotionally. tomorrow is another day.

failure only occurs when you feel that you are not capable of getting better and you simply give up.

the only thing a runner needs is confidence and the will to push through pain.

when you feel like giving up, ask yourself if you can give more.

    the answer

    is usually yes.

the best of luck to you.

  3. a runners body is lean; lanky; not too wide, etc., with a nice gait.

it will streamline and break the air better and offer less resistance.

  4. run some shorter distances like sprints and then do some longer distnace to see wut u r good at and wut u like. then condition urself by running a couple times a week and running up some hills and stuff like that. it also helps to have a strong core (abs and lower back). if u dont play a sport in the fall then u should also consider running cross country

  5. What??? You need to be a stay at home mom you have no brain

  6. A runners body is a tall skiny body with long legs.To practice for the summer just go to the track a few times  a week. For about  1 hour. You can experiment and see what you like better long distance or sprinting events. If you like both then 400m is the event you will be best at. Also try the jumping events if theirs a pit at the track
