  1. It usually just gives the big oil companies a good laugh because they know that no matter what they charge, people will continue to buy because they have no choice.

They could make gas $9 a gallon like in Europe and we would still buy it. Boycott it for a day or even a week and it won't matter...at some point you will have to fill your tank to get to work, go to buy food, etc. They know this. They have no fear of a boycott.

  2. they are the dearest ,and they control the market.if you all boycott them and go to the smaller ones or tesco ,asda or morrisons it then hits then and they then lower the price to bring you back..

  3. They use ethaol in their gas as a filler, so they make more money, but you get less miles to the gallon. It also plays with your engine and if that mixture is used in your car excessively over a long period of time, it can s***w up your engine.

  4. 'cos Shell drivers don't want you to use them and make their strike more effective

  5. If everyone boycotted the major suppliers it would force a rethink about the price of fuel. They would have to consider closing hundreds of petrol stations with the subsequent loss involved. Do it and tell everyone you know to do it as well.

  6. I know for a FACT that the Tanker Drivers who deliver fuel to a large chain of well known service stations are going on STRIKE at 6am TOMORROW and will NOT be returning to work until Tuesday morning, over the wages that they get.

So that is probably why you have been told to boycott 2 others.

  7. Because there are people out there who are wholly ignorant of the true facts about the cost of fuel.  They believe that by boycotting particular suppliers, fuel prices will fall.

This is total nonsense, of course, because the fuel companies only take around 5p in every pound of a gallon of fuel.  Our Government, on the other hand, takes around 72p in every pound.

Now you know the truth, you can see why it's such a ridiculous idea, can't you?

  8. If they can't tell you why then please don't listen.

There are a lot of morons out there with opinions but no facts to back them up.
