  1. iPod is ok. I think they just have a problem with walkie talkies and certain comms kit.

  2. NO...absolutly not

  3. They do not take them off you, my hubby and I take ours every time we go and have never had a problem at all, someone is telling you porkies and the person that is has probably never been to Cuba.

  4. A few years ago Cuba took issue with people bringing technology into the country.  When I was preparing for my trip last fall, I was warned that the officials in the Cuban airport might confiscate my laptop and other electronics.

They didn't.  They did ask me.  They said "Do you have any electronic equipment with you?" I told them yes, that I had a laptop computer and an iPod and they let me through with no problem.

  5. Ask the Cuban embassy.

  6. i think if it was me i'd take it, but i'd put it in my suitcase to be on the safe side cos there less likely too look for things like that in there

  7. I took mine it was fine

    have a great time

  8. I personally would not take anything very valuable like a ipod to a foreign country. I do know that in some countries they do search your suit cases and if they see anything they take a fancy to they will take. I know because it happens in my husband's country in the middle east.Even if they don't take it at the airport then it could easy be stolen. Cuba is a poor country so ipod is a luxury item.  Do speak to the Home office and the Cuba embassy or American embassy for guidance. Take care and have a good time in Cuba.

  9. Don't worry about any of these being taken off of you. They know it's yours. I take my mp3 players, discman, digital cameras/recorders, cellphones all the time. These items are not ever confiscated.

Take a look at this link for what can and cannot be brought into Cuba.

Even walkie-talkies are allowed. You can carry them in either your luggage or carry-on. But I would carry it with me on my carry-on. Don't leave stuff like this in your luggage in case it gets lost or anything else.

Have a great time in Cuba!

  10. If anything at all I'd check with the US airport policies. My brother and sister in law took their ipod and cellphones and had no problems.
