  1. it may just be the new adaption for your body, just because its not used to being vegan

  2. well that's a bit weird. Think about what you're eating. Are you eating plenty of legumes or tofu or nuts or spinach + other leafy vegetables? And do you have non-dairy milk fortified with B12? If not, then try and incorporate them into your diet. It is really important that you get plenty of iron, protein and B12.

Go see a dietitian. While your headaches may not even have anything ot do with your diet - we all get headaches sometimes, you should see a dietitian just in case.

  3. Depending on your previous diet, you may be detoxing,  it will pass soon, then you should feel GREAT.

  4. That's bad. Are you taking supplements of B12 and D vitamins? Please, don't go vegan until you get those supplements, learn more about nutrition and vegan diet, and plan out your meals. You don't have to eat meat. Just eat dairy and eggs, or just dairy, until you get those supplements. You NEED those vitamins. Veganism can be very bad for you and dangerous if you don't do it right.

  5. Me too, but I'm pretty sure it's the vodka.

  6. If you're eating a healthy vegan diet it could be detox symptoms.

  7. You are probably either detoxing to fast or not eating enough protein.Try eating more protein enriched foods...ie:  nuts(please take with enzymes unless sprouted), beans and brown rice, Hemp.  It could be that your blood sugar is low.I would try that first.

If you still have headaches back up a little and take it slower with deleting certain things. Don't go cold turkey.

    Drink more water.

Are you eating too many starchy carbs.....If you have bld sugar issues it could cause headaches.  It is very easy to eat to many starchy carbs when your a vegan. Find replacements and cut down a little.

    Good luck!!!

  8. Have you recently also stopped drinking caffeinated sodas?  If so, this will give you bad headaches until your body is used to not having caffeine anymore.   I would write down the foods you used to eat prior to your new vegan menu change, and write down the foods you eat now.   Now look at your list, write down the nutritional benefits of the foods you used to eat and look at your current menu list and see if you're missing any key nutrients in your diet after the vegan switch.  I also recommend taking a multi-vitamin. Your body may be adapting, along with your digestive system which could possibly give you headaches. If this is a continuos problem that worsens, visit a nutritionalist and a doctor.

  9. Make sure you're eating enough calories. You need to eat more than salads. Include a variety of fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, and grains in your diet. Here are some good vegan sources of protein, iron, and calcium: http://www.tryveg.com/cfi/toc/?v=08sourc...

    I hope this helps.

  10. It may not be because you're vegan.  There's nothing that would typically cause headaches changing to a vegan diet.  If you quite anything addictive, such as caffeine in the process, or cut down on sugar (maybe less high fructose corn syrup) or anything like that.  If that's the case, then you're going through withdrawal and will soon be over it.  However the headaches could just be coincidental and have nothing to do with your diet.  If it persists and concerns you, go to the doctor.  I hope you feel better.  Often you can benefit from a detox period.  Go for a day or two without eating anything and perhaps drink a detox flush or something.  If you have any health problems, you should consult a doctor or dietician first.  Good luck!

  11. Without knowing what you've been eating, we have no way to say what may be wrong, or even if it's related to your diet. I can't think offhand of any particular nutritional deficiency that would cause bad headaches. If you're worried, see a doctor.

  12. Go back to being an omnivore. Your headaches will go away. If you choose to change to an alternative lifestyle you need to adjust slowly. It's the same as if you're a smoker for 20 years and quit cold turkey one day. It'll take time to get back to normal.
