I always cross my legs in the air, but it seems that I never check out all the way. My coaches keep telling me to "just do it", but that's hard for me. I just need some guidence.

  1. I would practice it off ice. You are more likely to land on one foot off-ice. Then it may help on the ice. This happened to me also. I had to concentrate primarily on just land it on one foot. Like that is all I would think about. Then you body will get used to it. If it isn't perfect the first few times just keep concentrating. I hate axels. They are really complicated.

So Good Luck. And I Hope This Helps.

  2. I had the same problem. I just told myself no matter what that free let was NOT going to touch the ice. It worked for me. Hopefully it will for you too. Good luck!

  3. think about how you land your other single jumps. picture in your mind the feeling of landing one of those jumps and then picture that landing on the end of your axel. you  might not land it that way the first time you try to picture it but keep trying that way. and really, its an easier jump than you think it is. just another single :P
