  1. AMAZING HOTEL!!!!!...i went to the one beside it and it was so bad that people wanted to go to tryp :D:D

  2. oh you poor thing..... i have stayed at tryp penninsula 3 times and if you like soap operas you'll have a blast, mind your own business, dont fall for any cheap lines(i hope this is a female im talking too!!!)the food isnt very good, but the lifeguards are "hot" to look at only!! if pancho the goat is there give him a kiss, and say hi to stevie, main guy there, and nelson, and alberto he stacks chairs on the beach has golden eyes,i wont give my name but we became close and im a friend of the girl who used to be with his brother from t.o.,sorry if i sound like a drama queen but once you experience it you'll know

  3. you can only go with an open mind.  Check my posts and reviews below.  I really enjoyed Blau Colonial as you will see from my review. Others certainly didn't. The same goes for Club Ancon Trinidad.  I though tthe food was horrible  some other reviewer said it was the best he had had in Cuba.  I had read the reviews before I booked.  So no matter what others say just go and enjoy.  Hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised.

  4. Oh no it's not bad at all! It's an amazing resort! Believe me, Tryp Cayo Coco is a favourite of mine and I will keep going there. I know others who have been there 15-20 times. The resort is beautiful and the staff are amazing. The Animación Team (Entertainment Staff) are a blast! Many who gave bad reviews seem to want to complain about everything. I've personally come across a few at the resort who just wanted to complain and there were no reasons to. The food is fresh and is tasty. There is a lot of variety. The waiters/waitresses, bartenders, storekeepers, room attendants/cleaners, grounds keepers, etc. all work hard. So please be kind and give a daily tip...even though it´s a generosity on our part, it does help. Just like here in North America or anywhere else, many rely on tips to make a living. Everyone there will do a lot for you, especially if you don´t take yourself or others too seriously and just have a great time. So really, I know many complain for that reason too. But I don't agree with that mentality.

When you book, request a room on the 3rd floor (2nd if you can´t get 3rd). The higher up, the better it is because of the moisture and dampness. It´s a tropical place and 1st floors may have dampness. Some rooms are being worked on for that. So try to get the higher up rooms. They will be very accomodating...if you need anything though, it's common courtesy to request kindly. I found that many who complained are the ones who gave attitude...so naturally they won't get an obliging response lol.

The shows are fabulous. The dancers and entertainment staff at Tryp are one of the best in Cuba!

I could list all the people you would have an amazing time with on the entertainment staff...just a few..

Look out for Sandra, Fermin, Niurka, Yoel, Manuel and many more.

If you end up with a waiter named Yordi, he will make your day...always joking and laughing with you and will go out of his way to serve you well, and that's with no ulterior motive, whether he gets a tip or not. And Luisa is another waitress who is the same. But in fact, all of them are great. I'm not trying to single anyone out because they're all fun and work hard to make your stay a great one.

Just go and have fun. Don't worry about what the reviews say. Just get to know the ones who work there and become friends with them. You'll have the time of your life.

    Have an awesome time!

****PS: Yes Pancho the goat is still there...Steve, Nelson, and Alberto are still there too. Most of them still are and a few more came on board. A couple got married and moved to T.O...

    There's your update.
