Is there anything I can do? I was only meant to pay for my ticket out there, the company I'm working for will pay for my flight home!

  1. Bugger..........That's tuff

  2. Surely there's a cancellation clause in the terms and conditions. Unless, of course, it was a dirt cheap fare. You don't have to show for the return flight. Airlines used to overbook because they knew that there would always be no-shows.

  3. well, to be honest you are fine it actually costs more to fly one way then to buy a roundtrip, it is very strange but airlines charge more for oneways because they are a hassle with bookings

  4. Round trip tickets are usually much cheaper than one-way tickets.  Just show the ticket to your company and ask them to refund half the price.  (I'm sure they'd be happy to pay the lower fare.)

If your return date is different from what you want, you can rebook and pay a rebooking fee.
