  1. Beware of these scams.

    You don't say what country you are in, so I'll assume it the U.S.  Any bank should be able to get you a student loan.  First you want to fill out the FAFSA to make sure you aren't missing out on any student aid.  You should be able to get a loan for tuition plus expenses like books, room and board, and transportation.  I got mine directly through Sallie Mae (also for an engineering program).  At the beginning of the school year, you'll know how much you need for that year (it may change year to year).  I got my loan in two installments, one in the fall and one in the spring.  I don't know if you can get two years' worth of loans all at once (of why you would possibly want to do that).  Interest payments on the loan amount for the second year will be in the hundreds of dollars before you use the money if you take out that much at once.
