  1. Maybe you are. Maybe you aren't. What do other people think of you? What was the website?

  2. Many years ago, the IQ test was seen as an absolute measure of intelligence.  Some time after that, researchers realized that IQ tests were skewed to the majority ethnic population.  For example, back in the 1960's in the United States, white (Caucasian) people were in the majority, and the IQ tests of the times were written in such a way that anyone who was not white was at a disadvantage.  When my IQ was tested when I was in elementary school, it was during the 1950's.  My IQ was measured to be 153.  My parents let me know that it was high, but I was never told -- nor have I ever believed - - that I am a genius.  I know I was born somewhat  intelligent, but it is only because I have been educated that I've been able to reach some degree of intelligence.  I don't know anything much about IQ tests where you live.  Consider it a mark of your potential, an indication of what you might do - - and then work hard in school!

  3. Everyone who is answering is trying to get you to look at the true meaning of an "IQ". While I agree with their efforts, they're not answering your question.

You did extremely well on the test- congratulations! It looks like you may well be a "genius"!!

  4. If you think any test can measure intelligence, then you're a moron, not a genius.

  5. I am not convinced you're a genius unless you are using Yahoo! Answers as a way to test some hypothesis about psychological responses from a bored web-savvy public. If anything, even if you are a genius, you're certainly illiterate unless you're just pretending to be.

I took the Mensa Raven test at age 14 and got the result >147. Why don't you sign up for it with your nearest Mensa branch office? It seems to be a pretty recognised and reliable test.

On another note, are you doing well for GCSEs? It would be a terrible waste if you aren't putting your 'genius' to use, right? How about some hard work?

    Good day.

  6. Yes you are a genius, now go do something like cure cancer!

  7. IQ is a measure of POTENTIAL.

    "your self"....  yourself

    "proffesional"...  professional

And a complete lack of capitalization and punctuation in general.

The potential is still just potential, at this point...

  8. How difficult is it to state, "On the x*x IQ test I scored 131 and on the YYY IQ test I scored 151"?

See, you apparently took some tests on the internet.  All of these tests are invalid for the purposes of predicting one's current and future ability.

So, to answer your question:  You are not a genius until you prove you took a legitimate IQ test and obtained those scores.  Until then, the scores are considered invalid.
