  2. download AVG free version. get rid of norton.

  3. You can't.  You either buy the retail version or purchase the key from Symantec.

    Or you could use AVG ( http://free.grisoft.com ) or Avast (http://www.avast.com )  as free alternatives.  The Norton suites are notorious for being resource hogs.
