I've dreamed of having golden hair...?

Question

I've had for quite some time now of having blonde or locks of blonde hair as well as gold hair (literally the metal gold, but it still looks like hair). What could it symbolize?

I know that a proper dream interpretation is almost impossible without details of the complete dream, but I just would like to know all of the possible things that this could symbolize and see for myself which one applies more to me.

You just want the best things about you to shine through.

The gold indicates something idealized or valuable.  That your hair is actually gold must represent your appearance being of value to you, or an important part of your self worth.
