I got the results and they were like in the 31000 area... but Idk what to do now. I need to sign up for my next semester at the community college.. should I just go there and tell them that I filled it out and THEY will tell me if I'm eligible for any breaks? Thanks

  1. Expect loans only.. and yes, you can go in and sign up for classes and be sure they aren't going to demand payment before your loans come in.

Also, be sure you apply for financial aid EARLIER next year.  (Early is in Feb/March, not July)

  2. If your EFC was 31000 then you're not getting any breaks. No aid, no Pell Grants, just offers for loans.

  3. Now you apply for a student loan.  Your EFC is too high.  Grants are out of the picture but you can always go for scholarships.  You should still get a loan as a safety net but apply to as many scholarships as possible, to lessen your need for your loan.  Think of it as talking a stranger into paying your debt for you.
