  1. My dad has been racing pigeons his whole life, they have a club here in Illinois.is this{ NL2005 0538053) what`s on the band exactly?  He can find out who owns it.E-mail me and I`ll let you know

  2. Oops, I misread your city - check out someone from the N. Hollywood Club instead

it's going to be very difficult to find the owner of this bird since it's banded with a Dutch band.  It may be an imported bird that has escaped from the person who purchased it.

Your best bet would be to first contact Reyes who's the secretary of the club in N. Hollywood.   Even if they can't immediately get you to the owner, they can at least find a great home for the bird.

Club Name : CALIFORNIA INV PC

      Club Code : CALIFORNIA

      Club Secretary : REYES GOMEZ

      City : NORTH HOLLYWOOD

      State : CA

      Phone No. : 818-581-1153

      Email Address :

  3. ...the pidgeon likely knows it's own way home. If it was injured, keep it until it is ready to be realeased and then set it loose. Birds have a nature-given magnetic gyroscope built into thier brains that tell them where home is no matter where they may go. The bird will find it's way back to it's coop.

Try calling the forestry dept and see if they can help i.d the bird by the band serial number.
