I've heard you can hire a bar from the British Legion (meaning cheap booze) but not sure if it's true....please help, as I don't want my guests to have to pay high prices - but at the same time I don't want to have to pay a lot either.

  1. Lots of pubs will run a bar for you at a private function, ask your local.

  2. this place is full of people planning weddings and should help

  3. Ask the owners of the venue if they know of anyone who will provide a bar on the day.

I expect they have been asked before and have contacts in the trade.

  4. Not much of a venue if they dont have a bar! why dont you save yourself the hasle and find a venue that has verything under one roof

  5. Quite alot of pubs have some sort of mobile bar service...get out the yellow pages and have a ring round.

  6. buy your own at the liquor store and save the reciept. They will return any unopened bottles. Stick with just some basics.....rum,vodka,gin....skip the cordials and extras no one drinks them anyway. Only do 2 wines and 2 beers. Hire your own bartender. Go to a local bar and try to find someone willing to take a saturday off work to do it for you. Best of Luck!

  7. the answer will be different for each state.

i suggest speaking with the venue.  they likely have a list of approved or suggested vendors.
