I've got Onspeed accelerator on my dial up; is there anything else I can do to improve its performance?

  1. I can remember from my dial up days all these programs that said that they would do this that and the other. Didn't make the slightest bit of difference.

    A voice telephone line has a maximum of 56 K and nothing will change that. Also like ADSL broadband it's affected by distance, wire condition, line noise and condition of physical connections.


  2. Not really, Onspeed doesn't inrease your speed either -it just 'prefetches' pages from links on your web pages, it can't affect download speeds beyond those which your line supports.

    Whereabouts are you if you can't get broadband? Is ISDN available?

  3. i didn't think dialup existed anymore...look into getting broadband
