Hey everyone, I've got a couple of questions on biking. First off, is the website www.albes.com trusted? And my second question is... I don't BMX race, I'm more of a freestyle rider, but i like the way some of the BMX jerseys look...Are there any jerseys that don't have any "padding" on them or anything additional that wouldn't make me look like (more of) a freak in school or in public while wearing it? I had one when i was smaller, I'm 15 now, but i grew out of it. Another question...My bike recently got stolen, and I'm pretty set on the new one i'm most likely getting, it's an FBM executioner. It's cheap and has a good style, but i need to know how much it weighs...Could anyone tell me?

Thanks to all you guys who can help me...If you need anymore details, just type what you need and i'll get back at it.

  1. I can't help you with the jersey, but I can give you a bit of insight about the weight of your new bike.

You really need to know that bikes of similar style and price (you wouldn't compare a racing BMX to a vert bike) will weight within a pound or so of each other.

I design bikes and take a LOT of time to make sure that the product I offer is in line with what most others are offering. Yes, perhaps I spec something different for performance, but most bikes weigh what they need to. Racing bikes have to be light and fast, with sacrifices made in strength. Freestyle bikes have to be strong and well balanced, with sacrifies made in weight.

As the technology progresses weight does indeed go down, but these changes are not generally cheap nor found on "cheap" bikes.
