I know that you use P-tex or something, but HOW do you fix it and are there different brands?

  1. Wax will get worn away pretty fast.  It's only a temporary fix.  You need to scrape off anything extra by the cut with a metal scraper.  Be careful not to push too hard or you may make even more cuts.  Clean your base, then melt a P-Tex candle and fill it in.  Then You take I think a plastic scraper and even it out.  Then let it cool.

Be careful though.  The fumes are toxic and the burns from the P-Tex are bad.  If anything, it's probably best to just take it to the shop and have them do it for you.

By the way, how bad is it?  If it's only a nick, it's nothing to worry about.  I have tons of nicks and scratches on my base, but only when there's a huge gouge I'll get it filled it.  Your deck is bound to get nicks in it.  It's a matter of how deep and serious it is.

  2. Easiest way i've done would probably just filling it with wax.
