#1) you bought an Olevia

#2)  its possible that the cable controlling the video isnt firm or in the wrong slots, its hard to say because you havent described how you have it hooked up, did you use rca/hdmi?

#3) It's possible that the set up is misaligned with how you have it hooked up set to hdmi and plugged in to rca...

#4) are you running through any 3rd party components like a stereo, perhaps the stereo is not setup properly

need a little more info to help diagnose this problem
