  1. I think that you'd want the Suzuki Bergman 400 or even the 650.  They both come in under $8000.  The most important thing would probably be to shop according to the maximum weight that the particular scooter can carry.

I used to ride a 50cc scooter, and I came in at near the maximum recommended weight allowance.  That scooter didn't go fast at all with me on it, but when my light sister got on it, it went a heck of a lot faster!

  2. csburridge is right but none of those scooters are inexpensive. The Yamaha Morphous has about lowest seat around, lots of women that want more powerful scooters choose it for that. It is odd looking so often people  either love it or hate it.

The last year for the Reflex was 2007. It has a higher seat height than the Morph but it is nicely balanced so depending on your inseam you might like it (if you can find one!).

There are lots Chinese Reflex clones. If you are willing to go that route, Roketa, VOG, Linhai, etc. all have them. Unless you are comfortable with scooter maintenance and repair be cautious and get a good dealer if you decide to go that way.

Kymco's are known for high seats. A Suzuki Burgman is a bit lower but unless you are comfortable balancing a fairly heavy bike on your toes I would expect it will still to be to high.

  3. Honda Helix, Honda Reflex, which is taller then the Helix, or the Yamaha Morphous would more then likely be a good fit for you. The Morphous and the Helix are very low to the ground, and many people claim these bike are simply motorized recliners.

These scooters have not been included in the 2008 model year line up. So once the existing stock has been sold, there are no more new ones.

  4. I think that a Kymco People 250 or 200s would do you better and they are cheaper and better than a burgman. Kymco is the highest rated scooters in the world next to Piaggo and Vespa. People trade in   Burgmans to get a Kymco. They have three body styles in a 250cc scooter. They do make up to a 500cc and it is still less than Burgman and will run circles around it any way you want to look at it besides proformance.

  5. Your best bet would be to get a TMS 150. They have a couple different models at http://xtrememinimotors.com. I am about 280 and my touring model will hit 65 with not problem.

  6. i dunno about a scooter but u can get a segway oh ya!

  7. Get a 250cc scooter,  I have several lbs on you, and ride a 250cc scooter to work--easily does 60mpg and I am getting in the high 50's mpg.
