Hey my name's Bailey Jones and here's my question!

I've had nits for about a year now and I'm too embarrassed to tell my mum and there's loads of them. I think my friends have seen them but they're all to nice to say anything. I'm constantly scratching and always wear my hair down to pass them on to someone else. Recently I've noticed them in other places like crawling down my legs, under my arms and on my back and stomach! I've tried combing them out and using olive oil and mayo ect.but none of it's worked!

How can I get rid of them and why are they moving around my entire body!?!?

  1. holy ****, take a bleach bath goddamn.

  2. first of all , it's not smart to share your name on the internet.

second of all, you need to tell your mom . seriously she will help you. you need to buy the lice shampoo and special combs in order to get them out. how has your mother not gotten lice ??! or any other family members for that matter? and don't pass them on to someone else. that is NOT sanitary. maybe , if you cant afford any of the lice stuff to get them out of your head, ask your school nurse about it .

  3. Try tea tree oil which you can get from a health food store or a a shampoo with tea tree oil.  Put it on...wrap your hair in a shower cap and let sit for about 30-45 minutes.  You also need to wash ALL your bedding on HOT water and you really need to replace your pillow.  Any stuffed animals will need to be sealed in a bag for 2 weeks and you really need to invest in some RID spray for the soft surfaces in your room that can't be easily washed or cheaply replaced such as your mattress.

  4. They are taking over your body. Tell your mum or mom or whatever and get it taken care of.  There are shampoos and conditioners that kill them.

  5. u can get special combs and shampoos for headlice.

    but ewwwwwwwwwwwwww

  6. THERE ARE MANY OVER THE COUNTER MEDICATIONS THAT WILL GET RID OF HEAD LICE. THE NITS THAT YOU ARE SEEING ARE THE EGGS THEY HAVE LEFT BEHIND AND THEY WILL HATCH TO BE MORE LICE. YOU CAN;T GET RID OF LICE ANY OTHER WAY BUT TO USE MEDICATIONS OVER THE COUNTER THAT IS FOR THAT PURPOSE.

  7. go to a good chemist and buy a comb called the nitfree comb. it cost £10 but its great. wash your hair, put loads of conditioner on and leave it on and bend over the bath, comb through your hair with the nitfree comb, wiping it on a towel between each stroke, and keep doing it till you cant find any more nits. then rinse your hair and comb through again. this will get the nits and the eggs out. repeat every 3 days or so. you must be absolutly crawling with them if youve had them for a year, thats why youre finding them on your body, cos theres so many of them.

  8. Bailey you don't need to feel embarassed especially to tell your mum.  Lice is a common problem this time of year.  But you do need to tell her asap so she can help you out with this.  You need to use a specific lice shampoo.  All your bedding, combs and clothes need to be washed in hot water.  You can get all the directions on the package of lice shampoo.  And passing them on will only result in them being passed back to you.  So get this taken care of.  A year is way too long to have to deal with this.

  9. all of a sudden i feel lousy

  10. Go to the store and get a shampoo made for lice. Change your sheets and pillow case after you're done. You can google a home remedy too.

Theres head lice, Body lice, and Pubic lice.

  11. I know it may be hard but definitely tell your mum. I'm sure she will understand and she may be able to help you. Whatever you do, don't resort to anything drastic to get rid of them.

My advice is ONLY use a shampoo that does not contain pesticides. There are natural remedies out there that work. Before you listen to anyone advising you to use a pesticide treatment please consider the following:

No chemical head lice treatment is legally allowed to be labeled as 'safe' as every insecticide is a poison. Every pesticide preparation has the potential to do serious damage depending on the individual. If a lice treatment does not work once it is not going to work twice, in fact the lice that live will breed into a whole new batch that are resistant to that chemical.

Read these articles and ask your mum (or do it yourself) to try to find a natural remedy containing Neem oil as this renders the lice unable to breed therefore making it impossible for them to build up a resistance.

    Good luck.

  12. See your doctor.

  13. You also have to get rid of all the things they could be living in.  Throw away any stuff animals, or anything with cloth you don't want.  Put all other items that could harbor the lice in plastic bags and tie them up for at leastt a week.  I would at least try to put my matress in a plastic cover.  Pillows can harbor them too.  You have to clean your carpets, and everything.  Once they are that bad you have alot of work to do to get rid of them.  I would goto the pharmacy and talk to them and ask for info on how to kill them in your head, body and home.  GOOD LUCK!!!!

  14. Holy p**p.

First of all tell you mum.

    She can help you.

You will need to probably need to wash all your clothes and if you have it that bad move out of your house.

I cant talk now but if you cant find any uslfull info you can email me at

  15. go the pharmacy and ask them if they have anything for head lice. It might cost expensive but atleast it gets rid of the lice

  16. Yikes tell your mom.  Use half bleach half water and comb those nits out into the bleach water.  Wash all your bedding in hot water and bleach put pillows and bedding that you can't wash into sealed  plastic bags for 2 weeks.    Go to the pharmacy and get some lice shampoo and lice killing spray.  Treat your mattress, sofa and other furniture with the spray.  Shampoo all areas of your body that have hair and comb out the nits, get your mom or somebody to look for lice and nits under a strong light,  dip the comb in the bleach water and drop the nits and lice in the bleach water.   The bleach will kill them.  You may have to retreat everything in a month or so if the nits hatch out into lice and reinfest.  Good luck.  There's no shame in having lice get rid of them now.
