Are these worth anything? Are they good for drinking?

  1. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but these have no value...and may very well be undrinkable, considering their age.

Premiat is a Romanian brand, not known for the long life of anything they produce.  As far as the second wine, do you mean Bully Hill?  If so, it is a New York producer; their wines are best drunk young.

    Sorry...hope this helps.

  2. I just searched Wine Spectator and neither of those names come up.

Nothing came up on wine-searcher either.

I say cook some pasta and crack them open.  Have a backup in case they didn't hold up.

  3. You might consider calling the vineyards to ask if they know.  Most of the time, they keep a pretty good track of each year's wine, it's quality, and it's marketability.

You might also ask a local sommelier.  Many nicer restaurants boasting quality wine lists have a certified sommelier who is always anxious to do research on a wine/year they don't know a lot about (they are tested fairly often on their wine knowledge...this is a way to help them cram for their next exam!).
