I've got xc summer work-outs?

Today and does anyone have any advice when it comes to feeling tried and overheated? Practice is an hour long and we run on the track (it's pretty boring) so what can I do if I feel overheated and my muscels feel tired? I don't like stopping I only stop if I really need water

  1. water water water!

    feeling cold when it is hot out is a definate sign of being dehydrated so it is important to get enough water! and when you are feeling tired slow it down a bit and make you strides last longer focus on keeping on your feet like rolling your feet sort of. you will be going the same speed but its less pounding and it seems to work. so its like starting on your heel and going all the way to your toe before you start with your next foot. its a little hard to explain. just remember to drink enough water and listen to your body. also wear light weight and light colored clothing to keep you a little cooler. hope it helps and good luck =)


  2. you NEED to drin k lots of water.  drink throughout the day, before, during, and after practice.  when you feel tired, slow down a little bit, overheated, drink water, hungrey, energy bar,   if you are bored, try talk to people, sing a song, talk about songthing funny, talk to a coach to see if there is anything you can do.  Doing a weekly gift exchange may be fun.  bring a wet wash cloth with ice in it to put on your haed after practice.  the ice helps keep it cold.  talk to your coach and see if there is anything you can help with to bring excitment to practice.  see if he/she has any ideas.
