  1. You should be able to get a JVC Everio HDD camcorder for that.

Good because no tapes or disks to load, immediate delete of recordings you don't want, lightweight and small

  2. go to ebay and type these numbers in the search bar

    110250980276

    used 10 times

    extras

    want about 90$ or more

    thanks!

  3. Visit http://www.epathchina.com, there are many cheap camcorders under price £250!

  4. Go for Mini dv, still out performs the others.

Both hdd and dvd format have problems,

Hdd first, to get the amount of film onto a small drive (40gb considered small) they need to compress the data, compressing data, reduces quality. the more you compress you have the idea.

dvd, again data compressed, quality not that good. problems with dvd's finalising them, also film jumping it the camera gets knocked.

Mini dv Tape, robust, has been used for a long time, on LP 90mins on tape or 60 mins normal. Tapes £3-£4 each. no compression, capturing it to pc easy, and if captured in AVI then the picture will be as good as you are going to get. Professionals still use tape, betacam and mini dv if the others were that good they would have changed a long time ago. downside putting film onto pc as in real time 60 min film 60 min to capture. AVI files are big. 5mins 1gb

as for the make sony have been making very good camcorders for many years have a look at them.

    All the best RR
