  1. the invites are sent with instructions to have no yahoo and join, and how to get yahoo ID and join. those without it will only be e-mail members only, they wont be able to gain access to the groups features.

    any e-mail address can join a yahoo group. Ygroups are not strictly yahoo mail groups.
