  1. Charlie horses can be caused by dehydration, too much caffeine or too much booze as well as a deficiency of potassium (bananas), calcium (dairy products), magnesium (nuts) or vitamin B6 (dairy products).

  2. you have to tame that beast. Ride it around a little bit, put some ointment, and then if it still wont "run" away then go to the doctors

  3. I found out alot about Charlie horses using google. Typed google and did a search on Charlie Horse or leg cramping. There are many causes lack of potassium, dehydration - drink more water, lack of electrolytes, going from cold to warm without stretching and the reverse, overuse - running - beginning and the list goes on. Depending on your age the cause can be more severe - example Peripheral Artery Disease (are you over 50?) usually this is where the more severe leg cramping comes into place. Google it because you of course would be the only one to know you, your age, wieght, have you started exercising after being a couch potatoe, are you overweight, what kinds of foods are you eating etc. so try reading up on it and figure out what is best for you. If your legs cramping does not get better after trying out some of the things seek medical attention - make an appointment to see your doctor.
