I've had a heavy period and bled through onto my electric blanket?

Can someone help me with the best way to clean it up.

  1. Read the directions on the tag. I think that you can toss it in the washer as long as you remove the cord. I would use clorox 2 and pour it directly on the stain. Let is sit for about five minutes and then launder according to the directions.


  2. Well according to my hypohesis i suggest you put a vacumm up ur vajaja and suck it clean

    and also put a towel down

  3. The first answerer has a great suggestion, peroxide also works for getting blood stains out of a mattress too. Check the wash instructions since most electric blankets are safe to wash on the gentle cycle. If its washable, take a toothbrush and work some Zout or another enzyme stain remover, or you can even use plain detergent if you're in a pinch. An enzyme based stain remover can get the stains out even if they are a little set-in. The key with getting these stains out is to wash ASAP. Good luck :)

  4. Place a dirty towel under it and soak the blanket with hydrogen peroxide and ammonia. Keep doing this until the stain is gone. You can then use some rubbing alcohol to help dry out the blanket.
