for 1 year now. The larger one has been humping the smaller one. Is this going to stop soon? Should I buy them 2 seperate cages? I hear the smaller one screaming. I see the larger one holding the smaller one down. There igloo house is turned over. They are fighting all over the cage, bedding flying. Also why was my smaller piggies bum crusty.

  1. GET ANOTHER CAGE!!!!!!!

  2. This is typical dominance behaviour, but at a year, it should have subsided by now. I think your larger piggie is feeling amorous and taking it out on the smaller piggie.

The flying bedding & upturned pigloo is bound to happen when things get too boisterous in the cage, but unless there is bloodshed, there is no need to separate them.

The crusty bum is the end result of your larger piggie's unwanted advances. I call it "boar glue". It is very hard to get off, as when it dries it is as hard as cement. The best you can do is cut it out with scissors.

  3. Have you seen http://www.guineapigcages.com ? It's likely your cage is too small.

Read over the links on this page too http://www.guinealynx.info/companionship...

  4. You need to separate them.  The small one could get very hurt.  Typically, males don't get along unless they lived together since they were small (but even that doesn't guarantee they will get along).  They can still play in the pen together under supervision.. but you really need to separate them now!

  5. woah i never knew a guinea pigs sperm goes as hard to cement LOL
