I've had racing thoughts all my life, same w/depression ins changed,psychiatrist moved?

awhile ago like the 90's I was taking something but can not remember called old pharmacy no longer have records. no luck finding doc that actually will help. thanks for all your help. don't drink so alcohol not the way for me.

  1. Racing thoughts are not necessarily a mental disorder; you may just be very alert and/or stressed.They will slow down; they do every night don't they? Depression is one of 6-8 basic emtions you are born with. It happens naturally periodically due to negative thinking and/or perceptions. Depresion is vital for normal life.

    Look up "emotions" and "depression"in a Yahoo! web search. Wikipedia has a good summary. If you are persistently depressed that may be clinical depression for which there are psychologists and psychotherapy. Contact your family GP physician for a recommend to a psychiatrist if racing thoughts and/or depression persist.
