I've had this dream twice, and it kinda scares me. Can anyone help tell me what it means?

Question

Last night i had this dream that was identical to a dream that i had about two months ago. The thing was that I've thought nothing about this dream since the last I've had it. Here's how the dream goes.

I was leaving my friends house because some of his family came over. So as i was walking out to the end of the block i see some people playing basketball. I see one dribbling and i see another one throwing the ball up. As I'm looking at the ball, the guy that threw it up comes up behind me and restrains me. Another guy comes up to me and points a knife at me and telling me to empty my pockets. I empty my pockets and he still insists that i have something left. As he's insisting he starts to cut my wrist with the knife. Next thing you know, i'm in the hospital, but i don't feel pain on my wrist, i feel pain on my side. Apparently i got stabbed on the side of my body. As i leave the hospital i find out that these guys re kind of stalking me. Like these guys re following me around and giving me these random calls. Then i wake up.

If you can, can you help me?

um....try thinking of something happy before going to sleep.  i always have those kinds of dreams when i'm having negative thoughts, before i go to bed.  think positive.  hopefully it will help you.  also try to think of the guys in a hilarious way.  maybe picture them doing a funny dance or wearing a clown outfit.

I used to have a dream like that when i was younger.

around like 6.

I watched buffy the vampire for the first time on tv. and i got freaked.

and one night i was sleeping . and the wierdest dream. cause i live in a condo on the 14th floor. and she slowly came into my appartment. and then some bad guy ghost tapped on my window. i felt paralyzed and couldnt breathe otherwise she would find me. then she came into my room and with a bright purple lightsaber dagger. thing. and she was about to stab  me in the neck. and i woke up yelling my *** off.

i had that dream quite a few times. and it wouldnt leave me alone . then it just stoppped after a while. scared the h**l outta me.

I can see how this must be scary for you now that it's happened twice.

Some scientists put forth the idea that maybe your dreams symbolize your unconscious mind.

I would struggle to analyze your dream accurately but i'm thinking it's somewhere along the lines of you worrying about something that's happened in the past, maybe your living something that's happened a while ago eg. Dating an ex.

I'm not sure what the basketball or pain in your side would signify but it sounds like you feel that someone in your life wants more than you can give and it is manifesting itself in this dream.  Feelings manifest themselves in images we can understand through our dreams.  You gave the guys what you had but they still insisted you had more.  They hurt you and as you are recuperating, they are still after you.  What does that symbolize in your life?  Bill collectors?  Girlfriend problems?  Family problems?  Perhaps people having unrealistic expectations of you?

Usually when I have dreams Im half awake, so I learned just to open my eyes, and its just a dream, nothing like that will happen......and if u have it again, and wake up, just think of something happy like ice cream, or your girlfriend or something. and that might work.  but wow, now im scared, freaky dream dude

See if your friend is keeping things to herself that you have told her. Maybe you told her something personal a secret that may involve money,jewlery or an important item that you have. The only way those guys would insist you have something else is if someone told them, and since its in your friends neibhorhood maybe your friend has told someone something that is of value to you that someone else wants. I think trust is the main topic of your dream. It  looks like your friend might be using someone else to hurt you in some way.But im not an interpreter so its just something to think about.
