I've heard 9sp Campag Ergo shifters can be converted to 10sp (and vice versa)?

Hi, I'm looking to get a good deal on some 9speed Campag Record shifters, I've heard you can do something internally, which enables it for use with 10 speed cassettes. Is this possible on a 9sp shifter, or can only the 10sp ones be changed to meet your needs?

If so, are there any guides you can find?

Ok. about shifters. I'm still using classic shifters of Campagnolo.  I don't know if it's compatible with modern shifters with 9sp and 10sp in your bike. By the way what's your bike model actually so I can figured it out..
