I've heard a lot of people say it what does it mean?

I'm kind of new to YA and I've heard many people say on bogus questions that the person was a "troll". What does that mean? Thank You =-)

troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response, or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

Anytime someone is using slang and you don't know what it means, go to urbandictionary.com and type it in.  It'll tell you what that means.  

A troll can mean anyone who starts an argument to attack someone else,  it the case of Yahoo Answers (a community forum-type site) it means someone who is mean and attacks others with their comments for no good reason.  Or posts bogus questions posing as someone else just to stir up controversy.  Like I'm 12 and my parents are making me have an abortion, but I want to keep the baby.  They sit back and watch the fun unfold.  They are ridiculus people who have no lives.

Well, by some definitions a 'troll' is anyone who posts a response you don't agree with.

But the standard definition is someone who posts questions/comments intended to stir-up trouble.  Typically the troll will post something inflammatory, then sit back and watch the fun ...

A troll is someone who poses. Like, one question they say they are a pregnant 13 year old who doesn't know what to do and then they ask another question saying they are 17 and still don't know what college they want to go to..something like that.
