  1. Pre '94 Astons aren't well built

Post '94 Astons are well built.

  2. Well, it depends on the year and model in question. The later series, I'd say after the early to middle 90's seem quite good. Before that, they were average for high end coach built cars, which is to say, not that great. You won't be disappointed in them unless you think it's going to run around like your Toyota. While it probably won't leave you stranded anywhere, it may give you a heart attack when it comes to maintenance. They're pretty though and that's enough for most people.

  3. they're the best build and handsome cars in the world.

  4. Long ago when I was a small second grader I went with my dad to the AM dealer near us and got to go on the test drive with him. In retrospect, I realize that salespeople of that caliber don't BS you like the average one will. My dad had done his research and wanted to get a good car. The salesman was straight-up with his assessment of their quality: they aren't daily-drivers and shouldn't be treated as such. You can't expect Honda-level reliability... but even with that said, they aren't the best for their class. Bentleys will satisfy where the AM will not. I can't speak for the quality now since it has been almost 20 years since that last personal encounter with any of AM's cars. But I did learn my lesson and wouldn't reconsider one for myself. There are better vehicles out there for the price. And if Land Rover and Jaguar are any indication, the Brits shouldn't do cars.

  5. It is true.

    Aston Martin has unpredictable reliability.

Some people who buy them have lots of problems and some have very few problems.

But the problems always show up randomly without any warning.

Television shows like Top Gear also say that they are not so reliable.

  6. You either learn to hate anything British, or learn to hate them.

    Me, I loved mine.

However, I only drove older ones and the temperamental nature of them was to my liking.
