I've heard that electricians in Australia are equivalent to engineers in America. Is there any truth to this?

My boyfriend, an electrician, is looking to America but will make tens of thousands of dollars less than he would in Australia.

well im an electrician in the US and union electrcians here can make about $30 an hour and if you are working in an area with lots of construction like las vegas you can work 60-80 hours a week, but if you are not union you will make $15-25 an hour
