  1. thats not true yes it rains but the weather can be quite beautiful. Check out the weathernetwork.ca to see the latest weather in vancouver.

  2. yes...actually as im typing this the sun is shining right now. the say is clear and blue. anyways...

vancouver usually has a week or two that is sunny and a few days where temperatures reach up to 36 degrees. however, usually the climate is mild during the summer. theres a lot of days where the sun is out, its warm, and theres a gentle cool breeze.

however, you never know. vancouver weather is crazy. i remember a day in the summer where it hailed, rained, snowed, and became sunny all in one day.

  3. in general, yes, the lower mainland gets lots of rain.  but when its sunny, its gorgeous.  when ive been there it hasnt been bad

  4. No, that statement is not right.  Yes, the west coast of Canada and Vancouver does receive rain but we also receive plenty of glorious sunshine.  Today it is 30 c. and is supposed to remain at that temperature for the remainder of the week.  The winters are very mild with very little snow but we do get rain off and on from November to March but there are plenty of dry days in between.

  5. There is a a lot of sunshine ( inthe summer) but still compared to the rest of canada it is hot.

It's like the California of Canada.

    It's rains a lot, but when it's not raining, it's sunny :D

  6. That is not true. It rains about 1200mm a year in Vancouver, and almost 900mm of that falls between October and March. And of all that rain in the rainy season, almost 2/3's of it falls in November, December and January. So it's not all that bad really. Aside from those 3 bad months, there's not a lot of rain.

According to the weather climate normals records at Environment Canada, Southwestern BC between the lower mainland and Victoria is the driest place to be in Canada in the summer time. Even less rain falls in places around here than what falls in the Okanagan at that time of year.

  7. True. It rains most of the year.

  8. No.

  9. In the Pacific Northwest (guess it's actually Southwest in Canada) we have a saying: If you don't like the weather here, wait five minutes.

It's constantly changing.  You can have rain and sun at the same time.  It can be kind of hit and miss but if you want to come when it's likely to be sunny, June-August are good times to visit.  On sunny days it can be quite beautiful.

  10. it IS a rainforest on the westcoast so yes, it rains a lot.  But it doesn't make it any less gorgeous.  Come to Vancouver island, it doesn't rain as much, good winters and good summers.

  11. No it's not right.

  12. That's a bit of an exaggeration.  It can rain anytime during the year, any month.  But other than November, which usually is cloudy and/or rainy every day, with some really hard rains, the rest of the year is a big mix of sunny and cloudy days.  Lots of sunshine in May June July and August.  Especially nice when we get warm and sunny days from December to March, while the rest of the country is -30C with snow.  It has the warmest climate in Canada, even though not comparable to some Southern States or other countries.

  13. A major exaggeration to say that. The summer months are really quite sunny, it only rains a couple days a month in July and August. Early fall is very pleasant, it starts into the rainy season in November and spring arrives in February. The rainfall total is higher than many places, but total hours of sunshine is pretty good on average. Its not southern California, but still pretty nice.

  14. TOTAL   BS
